A Boy in Coma for 10 Days, Declared ‘As Good as Dead’ by Doctors — Father Carries Him to Jagannath Puri Temple, What Happened Next Felt Like a Miracle

Puri (Odisha):
A deeply emotional and unbelievable incident unfolded this week at the renowned Jagannath Puri Temple. A helpless father, carrying his unconscious son in his arms, arrived at the temple gates with tears streaming down his face. Doctors had told him his son was “as good as dead.” But what happened inside the temple has left devotees calling it nothing short of a miracle.

The Heart-Wrenching Walk to the Temple

According to eyewitnesses, earlier this week a 40-year-old man reached the temple carrying his limp, motionless son — a boy who had been in a coma for 10 days.
The child looked lifeless. Security personnel initially stopped him, but the father’s uncontrollable crying made them step aside.

He entered the temple, still trembling and breaking down in pain, and gently placed his son before the idol of Lord Jagannath. With folded hands, he pleaded for only one thing — “Give life back to my son.”

The moment was so intense that many devotees present were seen wiping their tears.

Doctors Had Given Up Hope

The father revealed that his son had been admitted to the ICU for 10 days. Doctors ultimately told him the boy would never recover and asked the family to take him home, declaring there was no hope left.

Holding on to just his last thread of faith, the father rushed straight from the hospital to the Jagannath Temple — barefoot and devastated.

A Sudden Turn That No One Expected

Witnesses say temple priests soon arrived at the scene. One priest sprinkled charanamrit (holy water) on the boy and recited prayers.

And then, something remarkable happened.

The boy, who had been completely still, suddenly moved his head.
A few moments later, he slowly opened his eyes, looked at his father, and softly called out “Bapdada…”

Everyone watching was stunned. Some devotees fell to their knees, others cried in disbelief. Even temple staff said they had never witnessed anything like it.

Devotees Calling It a Miracle

Temple sevayat Soumya Ranjan Panda said the father’s cries were so heartbreaking that several priests suggested he be allowed closer to the sanctum for prayer. As he stood near the sacred area, dozens of devotees silently prayed with him.

Moments after the holy water was sprinkled, the child responded — an event many are now describing as a divine intervention.
